Celtic Harriers offers a variety of training programs designed to help you reach your running goals. Whether you’re aiming to run your first 10km race or improve your marathon time, we have a program for you.

Each program offers a dedicated coach from the start until the completion date of the program, access to strength training sessions and an exciting program of weekly group runs to keep you motivated and on track to get you to your goal.

Gun Run Glory – 10km to 21km program

Running a half-marathon is an incredible way to improve your physical fitness and mental resilience, while the sense of accomplishment as you cross the finish line is exhilarating.

Another great reason to run a half marathon is that while training you’ll meet people from all walks of life, share stories, and create lasting friendships while running through some of Cape Town’s most scenic areas.

Whether you’re hoping to run your first half-marathon in 2024 or to improve your 21.1km race time, Celtic Harriers 16 Week 10km to 21kms training program will help get you across the finish line.

Graduation Race: The Gun Run on 15 September 2024

Completing a full marathon is an achievement like no other. The ultimate endurance challenge, running a marathon will push your limits physically and mentally but in the process, you’ll discover inner strength, resilience, and determination you never knew you had.

Whether you’re training to run a faster or more comfortable marathon, or aiming to tick this off your bucket list in 2024, the Celtic Harriers 20 Week 21.1km to 42km program will ensure you train correctly to reach your goal, while having fun with like-minded runners.

Graduation Race: Cape Town Marathon on 20 October 24

Conquer the Couch – Couch to 10km program

Getting off the couch and racing towards that 10km goal is no small feat. Whether you’re a newbie runner or want to get the basics of running right, the Celtic Harriers 10 Week Couch to 10km program will help you get to your goals with a supportive, fun and diverse community of runners.
