Welcome to Celtic Harriers Club, one of the oldest running clubs in the Western Cape - proud of its history and tradition.

Celtic Harriers Club is based at Brookside in Claremont (Cape Town). Celtics is the founder of the Cape’s biggest race, the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon. It also organises the Cape Peninsula Marathon and the Don Lock Memorial Road Race. The Club is synonymous with Western Cape athletics and many top athletes have worn its famous green and white hoops.

The Club caters for ALL runners, from beginners to the elite, walkers and road runners as well as trail runners.

A main committee runs Celtic Harriers Club. The President, Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Treasurer, Club Captain, Social Convenor and additional members are elected at the Annual General Meeting in November each year. All members are eligible to stand. The Club is governed by its constitution which is available on request from the Secretary.

Our races are organised by various sub-committees which report to the main Committee. Assistance with these races is always required and we trust that you will offer your help when requested.

PUMA, our former technical supporter continues to donate technical running footwear as prizes for the Celtics club runs and the trail runs held throughout the year.

The Club office is located below the Club house & bar of Villagers Football Club and is open on: High Season (November to April) Tuesday & Thursday from 17h00 to 20h00 Low Season (May to October) Tuesday & Thursday from 17h30 to 20h00.
